95% of our thoughts are subconscious beliefs we’ve inherited from our past. Messages told to us as children that left imprints on impressionable minds.
Some seemingly innocuous like, “Good girl.” “Clever boy.”
And some, more insidious, “Boys don’t cry.” “Why don’t you behave like a girl?” “Why can’t you be like your brother?”
These hungry ghosts from the past will occasionally pay a visit. How do you deal with them? Do you let them in?
If you let them stay for too long, then like a bad relative who never leaves, they can rob you of your present and your future. Don’t chase them away. Instead, listen to them. They hold the keys to unlocking your deepest needs.
You cannot change the past, but you can change your relationship with the past. Do that instead!
