What Are the Duties of an Executor?

An executor is a person who administers a person’s estate upon their death. If you are an executor in a person’s Will, here is a list of your duties:

1. Arrange for the disposition of the deceased’s remains.
2. Arrange the funeral, memorial service, etc.
3. Locate the Will.
4. Notify the beneficiaries of their interests in the estate.
